Subcontext

In this project I photographer a serie that invites the viewer to take a second look at things.  The pictures are taken with a large format camera so that each image holds a great amount of detail.  The pictures are of day to day things but search for a metaphysical gaze at the world. For example, the picture of the whit, that is a simple representation of whit, but it is also an aspiration to disconnect from the subject by pointing at a metaphysical essence . The picture of the window is a static picture, it is not the camera that is freezing a moment, but it is the moment itself timeless.  the picture is like a map or a story, it encodes on it a history of a personal life of a family but at the same time its also the story of the cultured, Israeli house - the window is the connection between the inside and the outside, the private and the public.
